Office Coordinator Emergency Kit

This Office Coordinator Emergency Kit provides an office coordinator with emergency supplies that help them coordinate emergency, safety, and shelter-in-place activities.

This emergency kit is designed to be stored in an office or other workplace location and should be located near the office coordinator (preferably hung on the wall using the backpack’s hang loop). 

This kit comes with a deluxe backpack that is easy to identify due to its bold red color and “EMERGENCY” printing on its front.  It has 8 storage compartments and has room for additional supplies should it be needed.

This kit comes standard with personal provisions for the office coordinator (food, water, survival blanket, and poncho), safety equipment (hard hat, safety vest, safety goggles, whistle, and barricade tape), a multi-function emergency radio (hand-crank, solar, NOAA, FM, AM, LED flashlight, mobile phone charger, and 2,000 mAh Lithium battery), a compact trauma kit (100 pieces), plastic sheeting with duct tape, clipboard and attendance sheet, tools, and more.

Locating, Organizing, and Storing Supplies

Being able to locate and access emergency supplies in a workplace emergency is critical.  All emergency supplies in the Office Coordinator Emergency Kit come stored and organized in the premium and rugged EP-FLEX Emergency Backpack.  The EP-FLEX Backpack is designed from the ground up for emergency preparedness applications and is a huge step above the off-the-shelf backpacks normally used in office kits by competitors.  This adjustable backpack can be worn comfortably or carried using the built-in handle.  It can also be hung on a wall using the built-in hang loop. 

This spacious backpack has a place to store everything and features 8 compartments (8 zippered, a dedicated document compartment, an attached key ring with carabiner for extra keys, numerous elastic straps for securing items, a business card sized label insert on the top of the backpack, and a main compartment with zippered door that fully opens allowing quick and easy access to supplies.  The EP-FLEX3 backpack is designed from the ground up for emergency preparedness.

Emergency Food and Water

This kit contains an emergency food ration that has a shelf life of 5 years.  The food ration has a non-thirst provoking vitamin enriched formula with a pleasant lemon flavor.  It contains 2,400 calories and is segmented into 6 sections (2 sections per day).  It’s safe for both vegetarians and those allergic to nuts. In terms of storage temperature, these rations hold up in temperature extremes of between -40- and 300-degrees F. See image for nutritional information.

This kit also contains a full liter of Puravai Emergency Drinking Water.  Puravai drinking water comes in a reusable canteen with an easy screw on/off cap, so you don’t need to drink all of the water at one time.  This water has a 20-year self-life and is certified pure.

Communication

This kit comes with the amazing EP-EMR2000 Emergency Radio.  This multi-function radio has a high-capacity internal 2,000 mAh Lithium battery that can be charged using the built-in hand crank or solar panel.   The radio receives the NOAA emergency band (FEMA recommended) plus FM and AM.  In addition, it has a bright LED flashlight and a mobile phone charger.  Important Note:  Having a Lithium battery is critical when storing your radio for extended periods of time.  Unlike devices with Nickel Metal batteries, the Lithium battery in the EP-EMR2000 will hold its charge and not decay for much longer storage periods. Treating Injuries

In an emergency or disaster situation, injuries can be more severe that small cuts and abrasions which are what typical first aid kits are designed to treat.  The Office Coordinator Emergency Kit comes with a Compact Trauma Kit that contains 100 pieces.  The items in this trauma kit go beyond what a typical first aid kit contains. In addition to band aids, this trauma kit contains items including, gauze rolls, gauze pads, a trauma pad, a triangular sling, knuckle bandages, fingertip bandages, topical creams, a thermometer, and much more.  These items are stored in a zippered pouch that attaches with Velcro to the inside of the backpack.  See content list below for complete details.

While the Office Coordinator Emergency Kit contains a comprehensive set of supplies, there are options available to consider:

Backpack Color – The EP-FLEX Backpack is available in two colors:  Red and Black. 

2nd Removable Pouch – The EP-FLEX Emergency Backpack accommodates 2 removable pouches that attach to the inside of the main compartment with Velcro.  This option provides a second removable pouch that can be used for additional supplies (The first pouch is used with the Compact Trauma Kit).

Waterproof Rain Cover – This 100% Waterproof Rain Cover protects your backpack, and it’s supplies in rain, storms, and hurricanes.  It also features highly visible “OFFICE COORDINATOR” Label on the front.  An essential accessory to protect your emergency supplies in wet and stormy climates. 

Hard Hat Net – The EP-FLEX Emergency Backpack can accommodate a hard hat net that saves valuable internal backpack space by allowing the hard hat to be mounted on the outside of the backpack instead of the main compartment.

Customizing is Easy Too!

Also note that this kit can be customized by silk screening your school’s name and/or logo to the top pocket on the front of the backpack (extra charge applies…please call (800) 270-2889 for details).  Also, emergency phone numbers, short instructions, or expiration information can easily be added by sliding a card into the business card sized label insert located at the top of the backpack.
